JJ is a new antweight to replace Daughter of Shrieker. It is harvesting parts from both Daughter of Shrieker and the old school weapon style and frame of Johnson. Weapon is a 8.5" custom waterjet titanium blade which will be driven by a S-280 motor with a 5:1 reduction via gears. 60:1 copals with 2" lite flites will be used for drive and everything will be run off a 9.6V NiMH battery pack.
The first step was to cut down the long carbon fibre frame pieces down to a more ant friendly size. Below are the two pieces attached with 1/4" lexan.

Current weight of frame with completed weapon system: 225g (7.9 oz)

April 10/05: Technically construction is finished, having some electronics problems which will need some attending to still. Below is the essentially complete robot. Weight is at 460g, doh!

June 16/05: Put some better wheels on, installed the new 850 mAh Polyquest Li-poly, and gave it a little cosmetic makeover. Current Weight: 447g, JJ is ready to rock at WBX2!
